I am trying to add a column to the existing template but doesnt work right and was wondering if someone had some pointers on how to do it.

Meaning you want three columns? Or four? And are you trying to do this with the "default" tabled one?

Yea I am using the default tabled one that come with php link directory. I would like 2 or 3 columns.

Yea that is what I am looking for. I was able to get two columns working on the main page but when i go into categories it squishes the column, if you could take a look at give me some pointers that would be great.

Since I have had a couple of PM's about this, I am putting the info in here.
Edit main.tpl

I think that the above code is all that is needed, so if someone want's to try it from a clean install and let me know if everything iis as expected, else I will look at my main.tpl again and see what else I did to it...

I have taken a quick look, and I have missed out a few bits of info that is required to present it properly...
Basically, I forgot to add a couple of extra div's to wrap around the table where the categories are displayed - and they need to be there !
I will do a clean install and put all of the info here as soon as I get time.

This worked a like a dream for me... I have right aligned the additional column which I intend to use to capture leads.
On 2.1 using skyblue theme it's a great mod...!:)
