adding a menu/column

how would i add a column to the right side of my directory, which would be on all pages.

You would have to create it as a separate file, probably rightcol.tpl, then style it in main.css, then put a call in for it in the appropriate place in main.tpl and other applicable .tpl pages.

Or you can wait for vkaryl to release her two column template if she ever gets through hunting season . . . I gotta wonder if the critters are winning.

I hope to have the template available for download by the end of this week. Got a few little tweaks that still need doing, but it's coming along nicely.

[Yah, that particular batch of critters won and are safe from us for another year. Now if I can only find a buck this weekend.... otherwise we'll be reduced to eating store-bought beef again this year - phooey!]

hmm dont know where i have to put the {include file="rightcol.tpl"} in the main.tpl

Most likely right above footer. And if it misbehaves you might have to "wrap" both columns in a div and put some style hoodoo on that.
