Hi,

I just realized that the hits are not recorded in my dir. When I click to see "most popular" it only sorts by date added.

I checked the db in phpmyadmin and the hits column is all zero - even when I clicked myself.

This is what I have in the end of main.tpl

If you uncomment, should count hits.

Hi Casey,

you looked at the wrong dir :)

I figured out that the recordning only works in IE - not FF.

Can that be fixed?

I've not worked on that side of things, I've been thinking about a better way to do the Hit tracking, as it does mess with bots.

I'm not really a JS dude, hopefully we'll find a fix when I get more time.

Apostle, I think Aardvark Topsites PHP managed to fix this issue quite sucessfully actually. Please have a look at the script at http://www.aardvarkind.com.

I know they were working on this sometime to JS to work fine with both IE and Firefox as well as other browsers.

Worked nicely.

I'm going to work it into the current release so others can take advantage of it.

For those who would like to count hits, send me a PM and FTP details and I'll set it up on your server.

Well, I would be very happy if I could start to track all links as soon as possible.

Is it possible you write down the changes needed in order to fix this issue?
