Dumb question: what is PHP Link Directory?

Erm... I've browsed through this website...
And there seems to be a dummy's explanantion to what PHP Link Directory is??

I'm only a very early beginner to PHP... but am aiming to be a master pretty quick. :)

Why do I need PHP Link Directory?

It is a way to organize links in categories and subcategories
There are powerful tools for facilitating link exchanges
When you have a site with pagerank or good traffic, you will be able to sell featured linksThis just touches the surface, but I hope that helps you get an idea.
