Changing the main page name

Is there away to rename the main page from index to another name. Can this be done with mod rewrite.

Sure...

Rename the file from index.php to whatever.php
Open
.htaccess
rss.php
templates/main.tpl
templates/top_bar.tpl

Find all references to "index.php" replace with "whatever.php"

please help me i am going crazy:

I have version 2.0 - renamed the index.php to hiphopdirectory.php - made all

listed changes - but when i try to get back to the main directory from the

Categories, the Submit etc. i allways get back to my home page.

i have installed the directory in my root folder and i dont want to install it in

a subfolder.

here is that problem :

What can i do?
