Paypal problems

I would like to buy PHP Link Directory but Paypal is not willing to let me.
I always get the error message:

We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.

Can annyone help me.

Strange, if you like I can PM you an address to send money directly from your paypal account.

I contacted paypal already and they told me on Monday (!) that they know this problem and try to solve it but nothing happened - I just tried it again.
