1&1 host cgi error 400

When I (attempted) installation, it told me I would likely have cgi problems. I had hoped that paying for the real deal would get around that.

Admin is fine, but clicking on any of the categories in the front end produces:

Error 400: Internal Server Error!

I see some stuff on the v2 forum about Dreamhost -- would this be the same for v3 and 1&1?

ummm I really cant recall if using modrewrite add

RewriteBase /

right after
RewriteEngine On

in the htaccess

If that doesn't work then comment out the Options lines
