What mail settings are necessary so that my directory will email me if a links added?

I set up the four email templates from another member's post here, however, after a link is added, the person who adds the link and me (the admin) still do not receive email messages.

Is there something that I'm not doing correctly for email? I run a few vbulletin forums on my host and that one is able to send out emails. What settings need to be changed so that this will work?

Is the FROM address using the same domain as the directory.
That can sometimes make a difference.

quick questions? What version are you using?
Have you edited your profile to have it send you Link Submit & Payment Notification?
After creating the templates did you assign them to their proper places?

I think I may have found the issue lol...

I didn't set the notifications. I made the templates, but never changed them in my settings. I'll test a link shortly.
