Dev-X (Green) phpLD 3.3 Template Release! (W/Icons!) Check it out!

I am excited to offer this very cool template for phpLD version 3.3 called Dev-X(Green)! It has tested well on all browsers but if you notice any bugs, let me know and I will take care of it

I will release Dev-X (Blue), (Purple), and (Black) in the next few days

It has some cool features:

1. Adsense or Advert ready!
2. Sponsor section
3. Custom category icons (up to 25 main categories)
4. Featured ads on the homepage
5. Categories in the sidebar
6. PSD provided for easy logo name change

The template uses category icons as you can see in the demo, but requires a little bit of work depending on which category dump you use but is well worth it I feel!!

YOU CAN OPT TO MAKE THE DIRECTORY A NO ICON VERSION WITH ONE (1) EASY FILE UPLOAD (provided in zip (main.tpl))

how can i move adsense & featured in main page to the top of category?

Hmm, interesting idea...

Okay...The 2 items are called from the home_extra.tpl and the code that displays it is in the footer.tpl and is this:

{* content class is closed here *}
</div></div>
{include file="home_extra.tpl"}

{* rightbody div is closed here *}

You can play with it and place it above the categories by placing that code in the main.tpl I suppose.

seem got problem when put that code in main.tpl because of top bar, so easy way...i just put it in header.tpl

But it seems to have an alignment problem on my site

front page cats are diagonal
keyword box on search is out
and pr box is large on link listings

any ideas my site is new and just being built so would like to get it right, maybe something I have done and not the template

The template has no alignment problem at all.

Your problem is this:

Your categories images are produced by the category numbers...ie: http://www.Yourwebsite.com/templates/Dev-X(Blue)/images/cat/5.png <--

You see the Red number which you find by right clicking on your homepage categories.

You need to then go to the Dev-X template folder and go to Images/Cat Folder which has all of the icons in it and select the image that you would like to have for the particular category and re-name it to the red number for that particular category and you will be fine.

NOTE: You also have to have an equal amount of sub-categories (displayed on hompage) for each main cateogry which you should anyways for appearence.

If tou would like help, PM me and I would be more than happy to se them up for you so your directory has the icons.

Thanks for your answer seo5000. Most of it was me no sub cats so all out of line OK now. I have not got all my sub-cats in yet but equal amounts now.

About Icons do you have differant ones, some do not suit my cats.

There are 25 default icons in the Cat file which We thought was enough.

Which specific category are you looking for an icon for?

property ( a forsale sign maybe )
computers (mabe a laptop)

The icons you have are excellent but for a general directory a regional directory will break down differant.
