The instructions say to read from file in the ID[seperator] link line format. Can someone give me an example of what the file should look like? Can it be used to read a list of links from a local file and generate thumbs? Still trying to connect to my server remotely. Unsure of the IP for mySQL. Opened a help desk ticket with my NOC. __________________ Darren Hester

The file format should be ID[separator]Link, where the separator can be chosen from the 'Character used as separator' box. If you select (|) as separator, the file should look something like: 1|http: //www .firstlink.com 2|http: //www .secondlink.com and so on... After you import the links from such a file into the application, you will choose all the screenshot options (from the 'Settings' tab) and then click on the 'Start' button. You will have the screenshots genereated on your computer. Also, you can use a small script that will be placed on the server and will automatically generate the import file for you. If you use such a script, enter the url to it in the 'Remote Url' box. See phplinkdirectory . com/forum/showthread.php?t=24725 for more details. |

When I select this file from my local drive and click "Import File" I get: Cannot open local file for import. Make sure the file exists. __________________ Darren Hester

The "|" was selected as a seperator (see attatched screeshot). Get the same error. You know, I beginning to think it's some kind of issue with my system. I'm also having trouble connecting to the server. At any rate, the software will generate screenshots using the "simple processing" method on the first tab. That's the only functionality I have ben able to get so far. It could be user error. I know many people here in the forum have been able to use the software without a problem. I'll keep working with it. Please let me know if you think of anything else I can try. Appreciate the help! __________________ Darren Hester

Radu will likely be along shortly and will have a suggestion. If you wanted to send access to your db server, we could try to help you that way too. __________________ Follow phpLD on Twitter - and facebook Nearly 400 templates you may have never seen █ Recommended Host Make awesome sites and the rest will follow. | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Düsseldorf (Germany) Posts: 396 | Hi together, I downloaded the last version and I'm very happy! I use the export script from k0riz0n and tried the tip from bruce (Screenshot Processor Tip): I put the script on the server and can use the Screenshot Processor to make screenshots from eg. ID 0 - 1000. (And start several instances in parallel )So, the program works perfect with a "remote URL". Ciao, Mike Last edited by David; 06-12-2010 at 10:15 PM. |

It seems that Windows Vista restricts access to the 'c:\users' folder and the application cannot read from it. It you place the import file in that folder (for example, on Desktop) it is possible to get an error trying to import the file. The solution is to move the import file outside the 'c:\users' directory. |
