phpLD Photo vs Gallery & Others

Hi (again)...
I'm considering the purchase of phpLD Photo but there doesn't seem to be a lot of recent activity in this part of the forum. Is this a finished, stable & supported product? What are the major differences between it and the other gallery scripts (i.e. menalto)? Will it or can it use the same template as used for the directory script (v4) and be affected by changes made to the template or switching templates on the back end of the directory script? Is it 'widget ready'?
