Spidering DMOZ and Google

Author: David
Added: September 21, 2007

phpLD has a spider that can simplify the task of locating links for your directory. You can spider links from DMOZ or Google. The spider is not intended to be used for massive copying, and it is recommended that it be used on a limited basis. For Google, you can choose from many different datacenters such as google.ca or google.fr. Some hosts are blocked from this function, and it is strongly recommended that you read and understand Google's terms of service before using this feature. For DMOZ you simply enter the category you wish to spider.

After importing links, you are presented with a list of links with the Title, URL and description. These fields are editable, and it is recommended that you write your own description for links where possible. You can check which links you want to save (or not).
