Anybody using 1and1 hosting? Curious about database speed

I am wondering if I am alone on this one. I use 1and1 hosting and setup a database through my admin panel to use with PHPLD... the script seems to run unbearably slow. I have PHPBB setup and it seems to run ok... but PHPLD hangs each click for about 5 sometimes up to 10 seconds and I use a cable connection. Any advice?

Not to sound brash but move hosts is my first suggestion.

Your site speed will vary widely with 1&1 during non peak times for sites on your server it will be amazingly fast. During peak times (which depends on the sites on your server) it will be slow slow slow.

Same here, 1n1 is one of the worst on this planet

I was with 1&1 a few of years ago, and there service could hardly keep up with a simple web hosting for 100 clients. The bandwidth use per month was only about 60GB for my clients and this was on a dedicated server.
Didn't experience any downtime in the year I used them.
