Adding txtlinkads php code to index page only ?

I was trying to join textlinkads.com affilitiate program, but i cant seem to get thier php code to work.

I need to display it under my categories, and only on index page,

Anyone using them that can help ?

I believe that putting the code between {literal} tags should work. That is:

For smarty templates to interpret php code you may also have to put

{php}
around your affiliate code.
