View Full Version : Another bug: Delete submitted link redirects out of ACP

First, I should note that I have all the current fixes/patches installed, including the one to send notification to the link submitter on deletion from the ACP.
When I delete a listing in the ACP, instead of returning to the list of sites awaiting approval, I am redirected to the main index page (index.php).
Looking for a fix now...

I'll look through it :)

*bump*
Any progress / hints on this issue?
Is anyone else seeing this bug?

What is it I'm looking at on that page, David?

Ah...you need to view the log
I think we are up to the 56th revision of the development version. And this is darn close to RC5 or Final. You can always download the dev version and upgrade your current script, though it is probably always better to wait until we recommend upgrading, or else you will spend too much time upgrading. :) I believe all the fixes in the bug list have been applied to the dev version. I think we have a couple of miscelaneous items like this thread, and also I think we will add the mod from yktan.
I cannot reproduce this bug... anybody else can?

dcb, did you install the patch to send notification to the link submitter on deletion of a submitted link from the ACP?
It was after I installed that patch that this problem began. However, I would like deletion of the submission to generate a rejection email, as that patch does.

Here is the link to the notification fix I mentioned
Ah... I get it now.
I fixed all the know bug now (I hope) but I changed some of the code that was posted here for the fixes. And the patch to send notification to the link submitter on deletion of a submitted link I changed a lot.
Everything is in the SVN repository.

OK. So if I install the new "RC5" my [problem may be solved.
I'll check that out.
Thanks, guys! I've gotta say that support here is better than most! :)

Ah it's my mistake. I just realised that the Mod has an extra
Content visible to registered users only.
that is not needed and it's causing a redirection when it's not needed. Very sorry for the mistake.
Edited: After a more indepth look, I found that the orginal codes for the Mod is correct.

Where exactly is that extra code, yktan?
By the way, "RC5 beta" didn't fix the problem and gave me a different problem -- see the "testers Wanted" thread/

Hi minstrel, I've just posted the rectified version of the "Fix: Notification when link is deleted (or rejected)" Mod. Tell me if it fixes the problem for you
Thanks.

Yes! :D :D
Good stuff.
It now loads what seems to be a blank template rather than the page with the table that says "No records found", but that's a huge improvement. It doesn't redirect me out of the Admin Control Panel any more. :D
Thanks, yktan!

Sorry I had no time to test out the changes that I did. I will do a more thorough testing in a while to check that everything is correct.
Please note that this is a temporary fix till 2.0 final is released.

yktan

After having a more indepth look and some debugging, I found that the original codes for the Mod is indeed correct.
However, I'm having a problem that I'm not receiving a correct "HTTP_REFERER" from the Internet Explorer browser. It works perfect in Mozilla Firefox though. It seems like IE is not setting the correct "HTTP_REFERER" for some cases.
dcb, do you have any suggestions for solving this issue?

This is a very old post.
I would suggest posting your question in the Version 3 Supporters Forum.
