We have running a 3.02 paid version with web-designers Skin.

All its running ok, admin and visitor side: we can add Cats and URL from admin panel but... the submit form dont work and shows:

The URL could not be validated. Either the page does not exist or the server cound be contacted.

Some idea ? Can be a server or Script config problem ? Do you know how "to disconnect" the URL check option ?

Thanks !!

It's one of the benefits of being inthe support forum. ala.. you get it first and foremost.

What i believe you're experiencing is either one of two things:
a. the ID being enabled
b. the 404 error.

for now, check to see whether you had ID's enabled in your admin cpanel.
if its enabled, then disable it.

also, take out these lines in your index.php

from:
Content visible to registered users only.

to
Content visible to registered users only.

and as far as you paying 2 weeks ago. I too paid for the script, and i offer more help than you can possibly imagine on these boards. my PM box gets filled daily, and I try my best, but you don't hear me griping about it.

get that $10 out and get in the support forums. ;)

Thanks anon, i know your work here, and i dont tell you about the problem or the money; i only say: i had bought a Directory with a problem, and i need pay again for fix it... nothing about you.

We had try your solution and dont solves the "submit" problem in open area. When some people send a URL ( working domain and server), the form comes again and say:
The URL could not be validated. Either the page does not exist or the server cound be contacted.

More ideas ? anon, do you say if i pay for "Supporters Forum" i had a real solution for this ?

Thanks for your time and your patience.

I would like to appoligize if I may have seemed to come off strong.

I actually don't work here, but I do help out as much as possible. (and that's a lot lot lot lot haha)

I just really would like everyone to keep supporting the project, and I know every dollar that goes into these great scripts, we get twice the amount of appreciation from David and crew.

I've returned your PM, so just get back to me when you can.

I am currently getting my main site back on track, so i am here and there.
Please extend your patience, and I'll try and help you out as soon as I can.

Rob

I am having the same issue? regardless of what I try and add I get this message:

The URL could not be validated. Either the page does not exist or the server cound not be contacted.URL already exists in the directory.

I tried the above sugguestion and may I also point out a typo: cound =could
not sure where to change that??

and i will sign up for the support forums after I know that this program will actually work right, i've had numerous problems some have been solved, some not...

Thanks!

John

Hi John,

Really this is not the place for version 3 support.
I will grant free access to the Supporters Forum for a couple of days, and then I hope you will pay for the service like everyone else.

Thanks,
David

Content visible to registered users only.

Well, John is going to get his problem solved in the Supporters Forum, and then pay the $10. Are you going to be paying the $10?
