Some categories not loading from front page

Many thanks for a great application.

Everything installed OK, however after I set up and created my categories in the admin area, I have found that some of the categories are not loading from the front page. However some of the categories seem to load fine and takes you through the the category page with submitted listings.

I should mention all catefories are active in the admin area but even creating a link within the none-loading categories yields no results.

This is driving me slowly mad, as I have no idea what the problem could be, and a search on this forum shows up nothing.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

What happens when you delete and create those problem categories again? Do they still retain the same problem?

It may be something to do with your .htaccess file however I'm not familar with htaccess stuff. Maybe someone who is can help.

Also perhaps try re-installing phpld, it may just be a one off anomalie.

Hi Neticus, I have tried deleting and recreating the non-loading categories , but the problem remains.

Well I tried to reinstall and everything was OK until I created my tenth category, now that category will not load! Please does anyone now?!??

i see 10 categories on your page. did you mean greater than ten?

Hi anon, I mean that the tenth category does not load the sub-page, but all the others do. I have tried deleting it and recreat it but this doesn't work. I really am stuck :(

what did you modify if anything?

Just note, i don't care if you changed a letter from A to B. thats modification. People always tell me they dont/haven't
modified/touched anything, and as soon as i open up a file, BAM! i see modifications and then i'll get an 'oh ya...i modified that hehehe' <-- not funny :evil:

I'd like to know this prior to suggesting anything. try your best to remember if you touched anything first.

Thanks for your response Rob. I have not modified anything at this stage, as I am new to scripts and wanted to make sure that everything was working OK before starting to customize the look of the site.

I am having similar issues shows my catagories but cannot access them from the home page. http://domain-link-exchange.com

I also have the same problem on three directories on three different servers.

9 categories work just fine, but on id=10 and above you just get back to the start page.

No modifications done, just clean installations right out of the box.
