Thank you Dave, vbulletin is the only way to go. I run 5 vbulletin sites and I would never go back to any other forum software

Great Dave, I love vBulletin, but where are the smilies?

How hard was it to move the database you had to this software, what did you have before?

Brandon Sheley

it was a phpbb2

I'm sure they'll get some emotions soon :)

I see the smiles now, you have to change your options to get these by default......

Content visible to registered users only. I made some changes...
You have now as registered member the "New Posts" link showing new posts and no more daily posts. Only unregistered members get the daily posts.
Under "Quick Links" you can still access "Today's Posts" (daily posts) ;)

Content visible to registered users only. Not that hard but it took it's time
vBulleting has a great script called "Impex" that allows you to import databases from I think any other forum software. After that I had just to update the counters and give forum/users permissions.
I think all this was a 3-4 hours work with some more improvements that phpBB2 had.
Smilies are back now, but will add soon some more :)
