If you have an earlier version of phpLD that has a confirmation email mod installed, this can be made to work with those as well with a few minor edits.

DESCRIPTION:
This mod allows your directory to automatically send out a custom reminder email after a specified period andl contains an activation link to owners that have unconfirmed link submissions. If the link remains unconfirmed after a further specified period, the script will remove that listing and automatically send out a custom rejection notice.

Once this is done, the listing is flagged in the database, so that the automated process does not send out duplicate reminders (although a very simple and documented edit will allow that also).

The mod also has the ability to manually send out reminders to individual unconfirmed link on a single click (and confirm) from the approve links page in admin.

To protect existing or older listings, the script will not send out notices to listings that you have approved, but still have unconfirmed emails, UNLESS you choose the manual option.

Only listings that are unconfirmed, in a pending status AND not already had a reminder sent are processed by the automated job.

Both the number of days to the reminder and final deletion are set in admin.

Additional features:
> New email tags showing the days to reminder and days to deletion if links are unconfirmed.
> Ability to copy all sent reminders and unconfirmed rejection notices to yourself
> Link to manually send reminder when link is unconfirmed.

DEMOS:
No demos as such, as the whole thing is in the background (apart from a link in admin for the manual reminder). If you really need to see a demo in action and can wait, then submit to any of my directories and don't confirm your email! You will then get a reminder after 15 days and the link will be automatically deleted after 31.

NOTES:
Please note that this mod disables and replaces the existing feature that automatically deletes unconfirmed links upon logging into admin. Instead, deletions and reminders will now be undertaken by Cron at a time specified by you. It is therefore a requirement for full and proper functionality of this mod that you have the ability to run scheduled or Cron jobs on your server. All GOOD hosts will allow this, so if your host does not, then you should really consider moving as you are likely to have a LOT of other limitations. Cron jobs are usually (though not always) set up through your hosting control panel.

This mod as-is is compatible with phpLD versions 3.4, 4.0 and 4.1 as they are the only versions to have a built in email confirmation system.

*Limited support does not mean I will not assist should you encounter any problems. I will, but only after you have triple checked your edits. 99% of all self-install support requests are where instructions have not been followed, so I please ask that you ensure that you have performed edits correctly and made the required settings changes.

Access required for installation of this mod is Admin, FTP and your database (via phpMyAdmin).

IMPORTANT: Your self-install purchase allows unlimited installations on as many domains as YOU own. You are NOT allowed to install on third-party or your customer sites. This is against the terms of use and unless prior agreement has been sought. any such use will be deemed as a violation of usage terms and pursuant to the fact, action will always be taken to have those sites taken down. All emailed versions of this mod have very slight coding changes that make it very easy to trace the source, so it is in your own interests not to pass this mod to anyone else, as we have had some success in getting offending websites taken down, often resulting in the loss of the associated hosting account. If you do wish to use this mod for client websites, please contact me to arrange a multi-user discount.
