View Full Version : NetInsert - instant submission w/PR 3

I'm currently submitting my site to as many directories as possible to get some exposure and to minimize the agonizing process of self submitting sites to my directory. In the process, I submitted to www.netinsert.com (http://www.netinsert.com) and was instantly submitted to a category (Directories in World) with a PR of 3. I'm not sure if this is "news worth" but I thought that I would pass it along.

Thanks for this share!

However when I inserted the meta they gave me into my header.tpl, it says that the code was not found by NetInsert when I click on "Add new Web Page" I noticed bobby got his to work, but not sure why it's not working for myself, this is for 3.05 btw.

Looks like an interesting concept just don't feel like modifying my header any more then I already have too....heh Glad to see the nofollow gone Steve your pending que will most cetainly skyrocket...heh :)

Yes it's on 11 right now, I am afraid to see what will happen over night :eek: I just need to get this code to be scanned, but not sure why it's not finding it.

What you may need to do Steve is open up the link on your page an view your source code. Ensure the title, description, author, and keywords match exactly to the meta tgs you supply when you click the meta tag generator on the site. Not for sure if there is a validation script being processed or not from the search engines page. However the code they supply for the cat info should work if placed within the <html> tags. Upload the code and then look at your source code to see what it is doing.

Thank you! you gave me a small tip by saying "meta tag generator" so I thought to myself, "When you do a link popularity check, you need to disable the "Compression" in the Directory page in your admin."

Actually thanks for the new info. Never knew that one needed to disable that feature in order to do a link popularity Check. Food food for thought :) Submitted my 3 and fyi. checked out your source code and didn't see anything in your header that looked like it came from that other site.

Thank you for the 3 submissions, we always approve them in 5-6 business days. Also, I just now updated my header.tpl, have a look, it'll show everything in there now :)

Nice update on that terms of use there, though I am not worried about it. I'll remove the code if it comes to an issue :)

Glad I could be of some help as well, hopefully people will spot this when adding the code :)

I do see it now but I also see you have a lot of metag tags without closing elements you may wanna check out your validation page:
