Can't insert link code on my link directory

Hello,
I'd like to thank you for this script, it looks great.
When I tried to insert a link script at the site description box, then it does not work on the site, I mean it shows all the code, instead of the links.
For example, I place:
<a href="www.sites.com">Hello world</a>
When I view it, it shows exactly the code above, instead of "hello world" that points to sites.com

Does this script handle the code like that? or just text links?

Also, when I go to the admin cp and tried to deleted this code, there is no way to remove the code. The title and description are there, but the Edit and Delete icons don't show up.

Please help.

phpLD is set up (on purpose) to strip out any html coding submitted via the form. This is for security reasons and recommended that it be left that way. Your directory could compromised by allowing code in submissions.
