phpLD was first released to the public as a free directory script in 2006 and we continue to offer this free download. As the need to support our users grew, we started to charge a small fee ($30) for a link back license. Today, you can even get the latest paid version virtually free by taking advantage of our special offer.
We are still offering the free download (see below), but please consider this about our paid product before you download.
- It uses the latest technologies. Some hosts can no longer support phpLD free directory script because it uses phpLD 4. You won’t have this problem if you use our updated product.
- You can get our updated product virtually free through our special offer anyway, or you pay as little as $30 for the link back license.
- You get support with our paid version which can save you a lot of hassle if something isn’t working right or you are having trouble with setup as we do NOT offer support for the free directory script!
- A Link Back is still required with the free directory script as part of the license agreement. With the paid version you can upgrade to get that removed.

Requirements for use: You must maintain a link back to this site in the footer of all pages of your directory. You may not rebrand the admin section of phpLD in any way, and must display the logo and the link in the admin. At the top of all files with the php extension, there is important license information. This may not be removed. Please be respectful of the requirements, as we depend on users like you in order to be able offer this as a free directory script.
