This mod allows you to show a cloud of keywords (or link cloud) on your directory pages. This is a very popular technology that is used on sites such as del.icio.us, technorati, and flicker. When the user clicks on the “tag” or “keyword”, the search results for that keyword are displayed using the phpLD search feature.

Note: this mod has been around for a long time, and is not new. This is just a posting about it, because it is popular, and very applicable to today’s web technology. If you are going to run this mod, it is important that page cacheing is turned on in the admin panel, as it will improve performance.

If you want to get creative with this mod, rather than putting the tag cloud at the bottom of the page, consider putting it at the top, and you’ll have something that starts to resemble a tag cloud directory.
