A few years ago when phpLD was just getting started, we had a customer who became dissatisfiied with our product. He elected to switch to another product (phplynx), and then another product (Esyndicat). So he tried us, tried two of our competitors, and then returned to us. We are excited to have him back.

He mentioned that early in his experience with us that he believed the reason he left was a problem with our tech support. In the early days of phpLD (2005-ish), I have to admit, it was the "wild west" both in terms of the directory industry, and sometimes in terms of phpLD itself. We had an outpouring of people who wanted new features, and we tried our best to keep up with the demand. Sometimes as we added features at a rapid pace, it also introduced bugs, which can be frustrating to anyone, including us.

Fast forward to today, and our team has grown, as had the adoption rate of our software. There have been well over 300,000 downloads, and thousands of sites run our software. Just about any problem that is possible, we have seen it, and had the opportunity to address it. Our software is much more stable today, even though we continue with releases every few months. We have eight people who work for us at least 5 days per week, and we are in the process of training the ninth.

We want to thank Mistrel for his kind words, and you can read what he said in the forum thread here. Unfortunately, we don't have testimonials from every satisfied customer, but in the past month we have two other customers who have made the switch from a leading competitor to phpLD, both with multiple directories. We are pleased to have them on board, and are always happy to discuss how we can help you too.
