phpLD Version 5.1 is now available in the downloads for license holders. This is a maintenance release with lots of small fixes and improvements to make the new phpLD 5 branch even more stable.

Upgrading to phpLD 5.1:

If you are already running version 5, it only takes a couple of minutes. You upload the files, click on the update database link in admin, and that is about it. For upgrades from older versions, we do offer an upgrade service if you don’t want to do it yourself.

Changes in this Release:

1. If a physical mailing address is provided on submit, we now automatically get the longitude and latitude, and insert the coordinates into the database.
2. Some people preferred not to use the YAML CSS framework, so we are making this optional now. By default YAML is not in the release, but it is still available as a mod pack.
3. There was an issue with subcategory display counts always being one less. We made a fix so now the correct number of subcategories shows on the main page based on the settings in admin.
4. Google Maps made some changes and we had to apply them in phpLD so maps would work correctly.
5. You can now use a “custom layout” by editing left_sidebar.tpl main.tpl and right_sidebar.tpl (found here templatesCoreDefaultFrontendviews_customlayout) as it was at phpld 4. Then choosing custom from the edit template page.Alphanumeric sorting is now included in the code base. Central widget is included with the download.
6. Fix a bug with pagination of category pages
7. User edit listings fix – registered users can now review their listings.
8. Transparency fix for gif and png uploads
9. Ability to list only a link_type added. Click on the name of a link type in the main listings and it will then only list that one link type – more to come with that.
10. On the link types page in the admin you can also click the new icon and list all links with that link type.
11. Added a visit text link that opens in a new window for the link details popup.
12. From the link listings page you can now click an icon to open the listing in a new window
