The best choice for a hosting company has changed over the years, and some of the recommendations we had here before are not good anymore. For example, Arvixe was acquired by the Endurance International Group, also known as EIG. Before this we were recommending HostGator. They were also acquired by EIG. In both cases we had customers who complain to us later saying they were not happy after the acquisition.

So I write this on March 26th 2019, and this website is currently hosted on Knownhost. This hosting company is very well known for their great support, and they have been around for more than a decade. They are based in Alabama, but they have servers in Texas and California and on the East coast. Our experience with this company has been wonderful so they are our recommended host. You will not see any sort of affiliate link here. We are just recommending them because we believe them to be the best.
