Many people who are looking to setup a link directory or business directory on WordPress end up on this site because they tried other solutions and couldn’t get the support or features they needed. PHP Link Directory, or phpLD for short has been in the directory business since 2006, and if you know how to use WordPress, you should find our script easy to us as well.
We have a lot in common with WordPress. Just like WordPress we use the TinyMCE editor for text entries. We use Jquery to help power some Web 2.0 features. We use a similar media library for uploading images. The list goes on.
Many of our customers have carefully blended phpLD and WordPress together (ex. Pet Hotels of America). WordPress and our directory script can be run “side by side” in separate folders or they can be more integrated. For example, one of our customers uses WordPress to power the front part of the site, but uses phpLD to show the listings and receive paid submissions from people wishing to be listed on their site.
phpLD is one of the most secure php scripts on the market with an amazing track record since we have been in business starting in 2005. We have some people who use our script as a link directory, but others had problems with WordPress security and opted to use ours instead.
