I have installed phpLD on my website and after some fixes and alterations I have moved it to another folder of the same domain.

Everything worked perfectly since I have decided to clear the cache of my pc. I use XP Pro IE 6 SP2.

Now there is a problem:

1. Clear the cache (IE6 – Tools – Internet options – Delete files and Delete cookies)
2. Close all IE windows.
3. Open IE
4. Enter URL of my phpLD:  login prompt appears. 
5. Typed username and pass – login successful.
6. After doing something – logout.
7. Close browsers.
8. Open IE
9. Enter URL of my phpLD: NO LOGIN PROMPT Instead I am into the admin area.
10. Try to do something – login prompt appears.
11. Typed username and pass – Warning: Smarty error: validate: validator id ‘v_user’ is not registered. in /home/coolgsm/public_html/… linkpage/libs/smarty/Smarty.class.php on line 1088 – ERROR APPEARS.
12. Refresh – does not help me.
13. Close, reopen , retype user and pass – no help me.

So I have two opportunities to login again:

14. After error appears – click on BACK button – login prompt appears with user name without password. Now REFRESH – login prompt appears with user name without password. Now type pass and login successful

— OR —

14. Close IE. Clear the cache. type admin login url. Enter username and pass and login successful.

May be there is a problem with phpLD. I am worrying about my customers who will submit links or/and add_reciprocal links.
I do not know if there is a problem with submit and add_reciprocal, but there is a problem with login/logout for sure.

I can give you the username and pass to my phpLD to do some tests if it is necessary.

David writes: Yes, there were some cache issues that were since fixed when logging into both the admin and the frontend, and having a conflict in some browsers.
