PHP Link Directory, or phpLD for short, is a web software product that virtually anyone with some basic knowledge of how the internet works can use. If you have ever wanted to have your own website that organizes information in an easy to understand way for your visitors, phpLD could be just what you have been looking for!
Information is organized into a category structure. For example, you might have a site about Health Foods, so some of your categories might be Fruits, Vegetables, Supplements, Nuts, Grains, etc. Then you will have number of ways you can add content to these categories including adding articles, videos or helpful links (read more in Helpful Terms).
The homepage of your site is quite versatile, but following our example you will be able to show some or all of the following on your homepage:
- A welcome message telling people what you site is about
- List of the categories (ex. Fruits) – Click on the category and you go to the main page about Fruits
- Latest Links – Show all the latest links you added to the site (from ALL categories)
- Latest Videos you posted from YouTube
- Latest Articles you wrote
There are many possibilities and you surely some of the first things you will want to study are how to add categories, how to add content, and how to organize the widgets on your homepage and elsewhere. Much of this is intuitive and you’ll find your way around the site’s admin panel pretty quickly.
